HAPPENINGS IN COMMUNITY HAZARD MITIGATION
ISO participated in the Western Fire Chiefs Association (WFCA) 2012 annual business meeting at Fire-Rescue International in Denver in August 2012. We’re so proud of our very own Butch Cobb, ISO national director of Community Hazard Mitigation Programs, who received the coveted President’s Award. “Chief Cobb’s passion for the fire service and his insistence that fire chiefs have timely and thoughtful communication with ISO have earned him WFCA’s President’s Award,” WFCA President Jim Critchley said. “Chief Cobb has been a crucial link and honest broker between ISO and the fire service, and we thank him for his leadership.”
Critchley went on to explain that Cobb has worked tirelessly to ensure that ISO’s Public Protection Classification (PPC®) grading program is practical and understandable for the fire service. “We appreciate his professionalism and practical nature,” Critchley continued.
